Here is a guide to common error messages and what they mean.
“Please upload a PDF, DOCX or TXT file”
Your file is not in one of the accepted formats. Convert your CV to PDF, DOCX, or TXT and try again.
“The text file appears to be empty or too short”
Your CV file contains very little text. Make sure your CV has at least a few paragraphs of content. If you uploaded a scanned PDF (an image of your CV rather than text), try converting it to a Word document first.
“Insufficient credits”
You do not have enough credits to run this service. Go to the Pricing page to buy more credits.
“Our AI service is temporarily busy”
Our AI provider is experiencing high demand. Wait about an hour and try again. Your credits have not been deducted.
“Security check failed. Please refresh the page.”
Your session may have timed out. Refresh the page and try again. If you are still logged in, the issue should resolve itself.
A note on data privacy
When you use the CV + JD Analyzer or Job Finder, your CV text is sent to our AI provider to generate your results. This is required for the service to function. Your personal account details, email, and payment information are never sent to AI. For the CV Writer, only your professional information is processed by AI — your name, email, and phone number are never shared. Read our Privacy Policy for full details.
